Sledge dog
A ride on a dog sledge through the snow-covered landscape is an unforgettable experience. You have the opportunity to get to know the sledge dogs and their different personalities. After a brief introduction, you will have mastered this skill yourself and be ready to set off on the sledge ride. When you present your Gstaad Card, you will receive a free hot drink after the ride and can reflect on a successful day with the provider.
Snowshoeing
Stamping through the snow, savouring the silence of nature – another highlight in our region! Unlike regular hiking boots, snowshoes prevent you from sinking into the deep snow. This makes it possible to enjoy tours far away from the official winter hiking trails. The view of the winter wonderland with its snow-covered fir trees becomes even more intense – you'll be surprised!

Whether in the valley or on our magnificent mountains, our many attractions will guarantee you an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a hike with one of the local hiking guides - their extensive knowledge will make it an educational sporting excursion for you!
Fondue rucksack
This offer allows to enjoy a regionally produced fondue in the middle of nature. In the dairies of the region, you can book a fondue backpack with the necessary accessories. There are two varieties to choose from: House Mix Classic and House Mix with Truffle. The locations of the four oversized fondue caquelons, as well as two specially equipped huts can be seen on our website. These can be reached after a short hike.
Horse-drawn carriage ride
Enjoying the beautiful Saanenland on a horse-drawn sleigh is a year-round highlight in the destination of Gstaad. Thanks to different providers and their versatile routes, this is a varied offer. Your own route wishes will also be taken into account.
Make your own sled
Have you already hit the slopes with a homemade sled? This offer makes it possible. You will get an insight into the traditional craft of sled making and make your own sled. On request you can book an Älpler-Zvieri with regional products.
The Saanen mustard
The Saanen mustard - a real local product! Each family has its own Saanen mustard secret recipe. So it is interesting to produce your own jar of Saanen mustard together with locals. Unlike other mustards, this one is made with cherry puree. Take advantage of this offer to learn more about this classic.
Make snowshoes yourself
Take up the challenge and make your own snowshoes! The material is already available and together with your guide you will learn step by step to produce two snowshoes. As a crowning finale, you can test your self-made shoes directly in the field on a snowshoe tour. So, what are you waiting for!

Horse-drawn carriage ride
A ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through the beautiful area is a year-round highlight in the destination of Gstaad. Thanks to the various carriage companies and their different routes, there is a great choice of experiences. Your own route requests will also be taken into account.
Build your own toboggan
Have you ever conquered the slopes with a sledge you made yourself? With this activity, you can. You will get an insight into the traditional art of toboggan-making and assistance to make your own toboggan. An Älpler Zvieri (Alpine snack) with regional products can be booked on request.
Making Saanen mustard
Saanen mustard – a genuine local product! Every family keeps its own secret Saanen mustard recipe. That's why it's interesting to make your own jar of Saanen mustard together with locals. Unlike other mustards, this one is made with cherry pulp. Take advantage of this offer and learn more about this classic.
Public transport
If you stay one night or more in the destination of Gstaad, you are entitled to the Gstaad Card, and in summer the guest card includes public transport. This offer is not only valid in the region itself, but also extends to Lenk and Erlenbach. An absolute highlight is a train ride on the MOB panorama or nostalgia train. Furthermore, almost all attractions in the region are easily and conveniently accessible by public transport.
Visit a mountain farm
Are you interested in the day-to-days tasks of a mountain farmer? Then this is the perfect activity for you. For example, you can harvest potatoes, work with livestock and tend pastures. Farming is rather atypical in our region, making the experience twice as exciting. You can book a full day (from 8:00 am) or a half day (from 2:00 pm). Depending on the time of day, different tasks await you. So lend a hand!
Overnight stay on the Vorsass
Do you want to experience the adventure of an overnight stay on the Vorsass, the foothills of the Alps? Then this is the ideal choice for you. You can combine this visit with a panoramic hike from Gstaad towards Bissen. The friendly welcome and the dinner afterwards make the climb worthwhile. In the morning, you can share in the experience of "käsen" (cheese-making) on an open fire with the milk milked the night before.
Geocaching
Get to know the region orienteering-style – geocaching offers this and many other adventures. The beautiful village of Saanenmöser is the starting point for this activity. It's easy to experience this digital treasure hunt, thanks to coordinates published on the internet. With the free geocaching app, it's fun for the whole family.
Lake Lauenen ranger tour
Enjoy a guided tour with our ranger in the nearby nature reserve at Lake Lauenen. Through his daily work in nature, he is well acquainted with the various animals and plants in this area. You can reach Lake Lauenen either by bus or after an approx. 1.5-hour hike through the beautiful nature of Lauenen village.
