The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey.

Via Zurich-Kloten: From Zurich-Kloten Airport, Gstaad can be reached in approximately 2.5 hours by car and 3:15 hours by rail.
Via Geneva-Cointrin:: From Geneva-Cointrin, Gstaad can be reached in 2 hours by car and 3 hours by rail.
Via Bern Airport: Bern Airport is the nearest airport. The remaining journey takes about 1.5 by car but allow 2.5 hours if travelling by rail.
Via Saanen Airport: Air taxis connect Saanen Airport in the Destination Gstaad to many national and international destinations.
Public transport in the Destination Gstaad
The Destination Gstaad benefits from an extensive public transport network, both within the region itself and beyond. The main mode of transport is the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) railway and a number of post bus routes. The MOB links up the villages of Château-d'Oex, Rougemont, Saanen, Gstaad, Schönried, Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen. Between Gstaad and Saanen there are ski buses which operate between mid-December to mid-March every 20 minutes. The use of the ski bus is free for anyone, even without a ski pass.
Public transport with Gstaad Card
In the spirit of sustainability, public transport in 2nd class is included / free of charge throughout the year during your stay in the Gstaad Card experience area between Saanenland and Simmental.
Only on the four GoldenPass Express (GPX) trains per day between Montreux - Gstaad – Interlaken the seating capacity is very limited in winter 23/24 due to high demand and no transport guarantee can be given!
The MOB and the tourism organisations recommend using the other connections. For the GPX trains, it is urgent to buy a seat reservation. In the prestige class of the GPX, reservation is even compulsory. Reservations can be purchased directly from the GoldenPass Express website.
The Gstaad Card cannot be used for arrival and departure. *

Obligatory reservation for public transportation
For groups of ten or more, reservations are obligatory both at the train stations and at the bus companies (also with the GstaadCard).

The Gstaad Card is not valid for dogs and bicycles/mountain bikes. A normal ticket must be purchased for them.
Parking
The parking spaces in the villages of Gstaad, Saanen, Schönried, Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen are managed by the municipalities of Saanen and Zweisimmen and some by Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG.

Parking spaces at the Wasserngrat (Gstaad), La Videmanette (Rougemont), Gsteig and Lauenen valley stations are free of charge (when the skilifts are running).
