Sustainable mobility
Sustainable mobility
“Sustainability means thinking of the end in everything we do” (Eric Schweitzer)
Our own mobility has a strong impact on sustainability. We help you to reduce your own mobility or to choose the most sustainable mobility possible. The best way to plan your journey is by public transport. However, Gstaad is also located on national cycle route no. 9 or on the long-distance hiking trails of the ViaAlpina.
For your journey to Gstaad, you can relax and use the train as your means of public transport. It's an exhilarating, panoramic journey. Maybe even on board the world-famous MOB GoldenPass Express? If you have to use a car or plane, we recommend that you offset your CO2 emissions.
And once you have arrived in Gstaad, there are also great ways to get around the region in a sustainable way. As an overnight guest, you benefit all year round during your stay with the Gstaad Card from free use of 2nd class public transport in the Gstaad Card experience area between Saanenland and Simmental.
And of course, the best form of mobility in the region is active travel. Whether winter hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoe or ski tours in winter or walks, hikes, bike or mountain bike tours in summer – our active transport network is well developed and signposted. Our easy-to-read interactive map shows all the possibilities.
