This round is going to be on solitary side streets, some with rough surface which sometimes remind of pavé sections in northern part of France or the Rapha Gentlemen Races. With the landscape impressions it is a special and beautiful tour.
Cycle on the bike trail number 9 from Gstaad to Rougemont. In Rougemont, enter the main street, pass easily Château-d'Oex and after Les Moulins turn left onto the bike trail number 9. Continue on the diversified side roads until Montbonvon where the bumpy parts and lonely sections start. At the entrance of Montbonvon, turn left in direction to Allières. At this point the climbing starts. As farer the street goes up as more lonely, beautiful but bumpier the road gets. Soon you're driving through a lonely valley and behold at the end a dam of the Lac Hongrin. A serpentine goes up to a short tunnel on the height of a wall. Within here, the main part of the ascent is made. Along the beautiful situated lake, it goes on concrete slabs of the Swiss military until La Lécherette. It is the best opportunity to enjoy the view. At La Lécherette a long descent down to Château-d'Oex is waiting. The pleasant surface makes you forget the «Hell of the West». On the way back to Gstaad it is worth to follow number 9 through the villages and maybe engage a coffee stop.http://www.strava.com/routes/1145534
