A mountain of possibilities
Skiing for those who enjoy the finer things in life
The 10-seater Porsche-designed gondola lift, which opened in 2019, whisks you straight from Gstaad to the Eggli in comfort. Some 58 km of pistes and eight ski lifts await at the ski area, a well-structured, enjoyable ski paradise. The Schopfen lift, just below the Eggli mountain restaurant, is suitable for children. Seasoned skiers can tackle the longest slope in Gstaad, from La Videmanette to Rougemont.
Fine dining on the sun terrace
Enjoy the stunning landscapes in all their winter finery from the sun terrace of the Eggli mountain restaurant and in the cosy Eggli Lounge. The whole family can settle in here for delicious dishes, freshly prepared with regional products, while drinking in the breathtaking alpine views. The Eggli mountain restaurant makes an ideal place to gather after a long day’s skiing, tobogganing or winter hiking, or simply to take a quick breather in between activities. One particular highlight is Fondue Night on the Eggli – a scrumptious all-you-can-eat Swiss cheese fondue above the twinkling lights of Gstaad.
Toboggan run for the whole family
The toboggan run starts right next to the Eggli mountain station. It leads through secluded forests and across the tranquil mountains surrounding Gstaad on well-prepared pistes. The toboggan run isn’t too steep and has plenty of sections where even small children can start steering their toboggans themselves, but adults get their money’s worth here, too. This delightful experience lasts roughly an hour. Once you’ve reached the valley, a short walk takes you back to the valley station – where you’re free to do the whole thing again!
Unwind on a winter hike
While the adrenaline junkies of the family hit the ski and toboggan runs on the Eggli, those seeking peace and quiet can enjoy the tranquil, pristine natural landscapes on the winter hiking trails. The circular route begins on the southern side of the Berghaus restaurant and leads over the wide, open meadows of Hinder der Egg. The path then wends its way through gentle mountain landscapes with views of the imposing Gummfluh and Rüebli mountains, before heading back to the Berghaus restaurant via the front face of the Eggli. This enjoyable hike is a welcome opportunity to unwind and relax. Afterwards, reconvene with the rest of your family at the Berghaus Eggli restaurant or the Eggli Lounge to fortify yourself for your next adventure.
